Itinerary

DAY 1 - Depart USA to Florence

Tuesday – Boarding your overnight flight, you’re off on your special Italy adventure. Buon Viaggio!

DAY 2 - Arrive in Florence - Afternoon at leisure

Wednesday – Benvenuti a Firenze! Your Perillo representative will be at the airport to greet you. We are pleased to offer complimentary transfers from Florence airport to your hotel. 

This afternoon, you’ll have some free time to relax or sightsee. 

This evening, you will meet with your tour director for a brief orientation and welcome drink, followed by dinner in your hotel. D

DAY 3 - Florence City Sightseeing including the David - Dinner and Private Andrea Boccelli Concert

Thursday – Your day of sightseeing includes the majestic Duomo Complex built in 1296, Giotto’s Bell Tower and the Baptistery with its renowned Gates of Paradise doors. Follow the medieval streets to the most striking square in Florence, Piazza della Signoria. You’ll visit the Accademia; “Breathtaking” is the only word to describe ones first view of Michelangelo’s David. 

This evening, you’ll journey to Forte dei Marmi for an unforgettable Dinner & Concert featuring the legendary Andrea Bocelli. B, D

DAY 4 - Florence - Lucca City Sightseeing - Wine Tasting & Early Dinner in Tuscany - Florence

Friday  - This morning you’ll get to sleep in and have a leisurely breakfast. Then you’ll travel to one of Tuscany’s most enchanting medieval cities – you’ll step inside the beautifully preserved walls of Lucca. Wandering through Lucca’s narrow streets and sunlit piazzas, you’ll encounter elegant churches, all safeguarded by imposing fortified walls built to defend against medieval invasions. You’ll visit the famous Duomo, the Amphitheater and the impressive Church of San Frediano. You’ll also encounter Lucca’s signature towers.

Next, you’ll head to Altezza Winery, a deluxe Tuscan winery, to meet our dear friend, Pierluigi Giachi – an unforgettable sommelier, learn about wine pairings, and the perfect glass followed by a wine tasting and early dinner. B, D

DAY 5 - Florence Cinque Terre - Florence

Saturday - Get ready for an unforgettable day exploring the Cinque Terre, five charming fishing villages perched along the rugged Italian Riviera – consistently ranked among Italys top destinations. 

Travel to Sestri Levante and board the train to Vernazza, the jewel of the Cinque Terre, where life remains simple and car – free. 

Return to your hotel in Florence; enjoy dinner on your own. B

DAY 6 - Florence - Rome - Dinner Out

Sunday - This morning you’ll journey to Rome and will check in to the Grand Hotel Palace.  

This afternoon, you’ll  step into the captivating world of Renaissance Rome on our immersive walking tour, where we'll discover iconic landmarks like Bernini's Fountains, the majestic Spanish Steps, and the legendary Trevi Fountain—be sure to toss a coin and make a wish! Marvel at the grandeur of the Piazza of the Pantheon and immerse yourself in the lively ambiance of the renowned Piazza Navona. Join us as we embark on this fascinating journey through history and art, uncovering the splendors of Rome's Renaissance treasures.

This evening you’ll enjoy a Roman dinner at a local restaurant. B. D

DAY 7 - Rome - Vatican Museum - Sistine Chapel - ST. Peter's Basilica

Monday – Rome wasn’t built in a day – but we’ll show you its best in just a few hours! 

This morning, cross into Vatican city for a guided tour of the Vatican Museums, ending with Michealngelo’s masterpiece in the Sistine Chapel. Then step into St. Peter’s Basilica, where you’ll see his stunning Pieta` and Bernini’s towering Bronze canopy.

Tonight, we thought you would enjoy a chance to enjoy dinner on your own in the eternal city. Be sure to ask your tour director for recommendations. B

DAY 8 - Rome - Tivoli Gardens - Farewell Dinner

Tuesday - Immerse yourself in history as you explore the charming town and behold the magnificent Villa d'Este, a masterpiece of the Italian Garden and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Marvel at its breathtaking array of fountains, grottoes, and captivating water displays accompanied by music. After this enchanting experience, return to Rome, enriched by the beauty and splendor of Italy's cultural heritage.

Tonight, you’ll enjoy a special farewell dinner. B, D

DAY 9 - Flight Home Rome  - USA

Wednesday – This morning, board your flight home, arriving in the USA the same day. Unless of course, you have chosen to extend your stay! A warm grazie for traveling with the Perillo family and please return soon. B
